Thrilling Great Migration Mara River river crossings

Your Travel Experience with Beach Safari

Africa Safari Serengeti Kogatende is perfectly situated in the remote northern reaches of the Serengeti, just a stone's throw from the Mara River and the border of the Maasai Mara National Reserve.

This area is famous for the Great Migration crossings, the most dramatic highlight of the annual wildebeest cycle. From July to October, massive herds gather on the riverbanks, braving crocodile-infested waters and steep cliffs in a spectacular display of survival. The lush northern hills provide essential grazing during the dry season, keeping the migration concentrated in this region for months. While the river crossings provide high-octane action, the area’s diverse landscape of kopjes and riverine forests is home to a dense population of large predators, including "the big cats" and enormous Nile crocodiles, offering world-class game viewing year-round.

Our lodge features 20 elegant accommodations, consisting of 18 Safari Luxury Glamping tents and 2 spacious Safari Family rooms. 14 of these units offer stunning views over the northern valley, providing a high chance of spotting wildlife right from your bed in the morning. The 18 Luxury Glamping tents are beautifully furnished with locally crafted furniture and private ensuite bathrooms, offering a comfortable and refined retreat amidst the wild beauty of the northern Serengeti.
